Greenville, SC – On Sunday, a public forum on cannabis was held in Greenville.
The Medical Cannabis Educational Forum, organized by Cannabis Forward, was the second of its kind and was held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Larkin’s Sawmill.
Healthcare professionals, medical students, caregivers, legislators and anyone with a general interest was encouraged to attend. Topics covered were the history of cannabis, exciting discoveries about the endocannabinoid system, how cannabis can be used as adjunctive therapy to opiates and what cannabis legislation for South Carolina will look like.
Among panelists who spoke at the event were Dr. Uma Dhanabalan, MD of Uplifting Health & Wellness, District 8 South Carolina Representative Jonathon Hill, Joanne Collins, MPH, BS of Cannabis Forward and Sebastien Cotte of the Flowering Hope Foundation.
The forum was sponsored by Smoke N Brew, Fete Mobile Magazine and Ianuario Law Firm.
