Tonight- East Lansing attorney Jeff Hank , as he did last year in Lansing, heads up the local ballot effort to legalize cannabis in East Lansing. He is also running for the 8th District House of Representatives and has recently called for the release of the “Lansing 7” who were prosecuted in federal court and sentenced to prison, despite operating within the parameters of state law.
Also, a recent Free Press article,
written by award winning journalist Bill Laitner, refers to substances such as K2 and Spice as “synthetic marijuana.” Even though the substances may be based on the chemical mimicking of some cannabinoids, is it fair to refer to it as fake pot or synthetic marijuana? If not, what should it be referred to and why?
