Sauget, Ill. – Illinois’ largest marijuana dispensary is set to open next month in the Sauget area, but the public is getting a peek inside early.
The Green Solution will sell different types of marijuana for medicinal purposes only.
People can buy up to two and a half ounces every two weeks, but first their doctor has to certify that they have a qualifying health condition. They’ll also have to apply for a medical card from the state.
“The reason we have 41 conditions and now five others including PTSD is there is significant research showing patients benefiting hugely from marijuana,” explained Tanya Griffin, principal owner of The Green Solution.
The open house will take place Saturday from noon to 4. The Green Solution is located off 255 next to the Grizzlies stadium.
The only other marijuana dispensary in the metro east is in Collinsville.
