Attend Stitching Stoned, a Make and Mary workshop in Portland on Friday!  You may recall from our previous post about this workshop that it is a cannabis friendly crafting class that takes places once a month, doing everything from traditional brass ornaments to Shibori cloth dying.  These classes truly are one-of-a-kind workshops for craftspeople who like to create while enjoying cannabis.

This Friday, Make and Mary will host Amy Frazer who is a local artist, product and pattern designer, for a fun night of stitching stoned. Amy will teach the in’s and out’s of embroidery art.  When asked about her desire to be involved with Make and Mary, she responded, “I’m first and foremost a maker. I love to draw and paint, but over the past 5 years my love of embroidery and stitching has really emerged. It is something I can take anywhere and is super relaxing, although some of my pieces are complicated and challenging. I love Yvonne [Make and Mary founder] and what she is doing with her workshops, combining art forms that bring people together for a night to relax and maybe learn a new skill. Embroidery is something that is really accessible, easy for most people to learn and with a few simple stitches we can create something wonderful. I’m really looking forward to the seeing what everyone comes up with!”

The Make and Mary events offer a very unique space where cannabis is enjoyed in a safe atmosphere that is mellow and soothing but also feels uplifting and inspiring at the same time.  Both veteran artists and novice crafters will truly enjoy the experience these workshops offer for attendees.

Attendees will also hear about the journey of Jayne, a Portland dispensary where “even your mom feels welcomed”.
As always, all supplies included, plus food, mocktails and some of natures inspiration too!

This is a 21+ event, be prepared to show your I.D.
