For those of you who have been long-term subscribers and for new content consumers of CBE Press LLC’s newsletters and www.cannabisbusinessexecutive.com, I am happy to introduce you to our next content distribution channel: http://www.CBEC2018.com. This is our answer to the industry and our executive readership’s call for in-person, utilitarian and thought leadership information to help you make more informed business decisions and to stay abreast of industry developments that will impact your company’s strategic positioning.

The Cannabis Business Executive Convention (CBEC) is the cannabis industry’s go-to gathering for education, networking, partnering, advocacy and more. The first-ever convention will be held January 10-12 in Washington, D.C., at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, bringing together thousands of executives, investors, policymakers and other stakeholders to learn, connect and advance the cannabis industry. We envision CBEC to be the place to accomplish business goals through educational programming, roundtable sessions, a robust exhibit hall, investor partnering meetings and more.

We believe that the Cannabis Industry is at an inflection point as savvy and experienced executives and investors enter the industry, whether they come from Life Sciences, Biotech, Pharma, Alcohol, Tobacco, entrepreneurial efforts or other regulated industries to join the mix in what has rapidly become the fastest growing sector in the US and abroad. We have all witnessed the dramatic increase in capital formation in Canada and a slew of announcements of decriminalization or legalization efforts, whether for medical or adult-use marijuana or regulated Cannabis Industry initiatives in countries from all around the free world.

And so do the current stakeholders in the Cannabis Industry who have joined forces with our new entity, The Cannabis Business Conference Group. The team includes partners with a history of creating world-class conferences that have brought executives together to build other emerging industries, as well as investment partners who have committed their capital to help the industry advance to, and past, prohibition in the years to come.

So jump on the train as we build meaningful dialogue with the regulatory, law enforcement, scientific and standard setting community locally in states and at the federal level as well as your peers: the ones that have put their time, effort and hard-earned dollars to work to build real companies, with real revenues, therapeutic and innovative solutions and significant tax dollars to support their local communities. This is a by and for industry stakeholder effort, as has been the case with CBE Press’s content creation from day one, with the significant contributions of generous industry experts that have shared their insights and vision with you for the past three years. Please, plan to join us in nation’s capital and at other soon to be announced feeder events around the country to shape the industry’s future.

I invite you to be a part of the inaugural Cannabis Business Executive Convention to drive our industry forward and make your business goals come to fruition! Learn more at www.cbec2018.com and we look forward to your contributions and participation.
